The Village Voice – August, 2019
Born in Texas but raised on a wheat/cotton farm 5 miles from Snyder, Oklahoma. I met my husband of 51 years at Southwestern State College (now SWOSU), Weatherford, OK. Early music major but changed to elementary education. Finished my degree at Central State College (now UCO) and taught school in Edmond for 32 years. We have 3 children; Tom lives with his family of three sons and wife in Los Angeles, Pegi lives in Tulsa with her famish of two sons, and Kari lives in Arlington, Texas, with her three sons. That makes eight grandsons, of whom we are very proud. Cooking has been one of my favorite pastimes during the years, but I also enjoy reading, playing bridge and visiting with friends. My faith is important to me; we attend First Baptist Church in Edmond and I've been very involved there for the last 40+ years. We are pleased to call Bradford Village our home.
